Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
Chimney Cleaning Before & After in Alpharetta, GA
Photos beat adjectives every time. We can tell you a chimney is clean, but showing you the creosote we pulled out of a Windward fireplace tells the real story. These are representative jobs from Alpharetta and nearby neighborhoods: Milton, Crabapple, Johns Creek, and Roswell. Each one shows what we found, what we did, and what the homeowner saw when we finished.

Heavy Creosote Removal, Windward

The homeowner had burned green wood for two seasons and noticed a campfire smell in the living room on humid days. The flue had stage-two creosote, the shiny tar-like kind that glues itself to the tiles. We swept it with rotary rods and a poly brush sized to the flue, then ran a camera up to check the smoke shelf. The campfire smell was gone that evening, and the camera report showed clean tile from firebox to cap.
Animal Nest Removal and Sweep, Crabapple

A family in Crabapple called because they heard scratching above the damper in early March. We found a squirrel nest packed tight against the smoke shelf, plus several feet of twigs down the flue. The nest came out first, then we swept the entire system and inspected the cap. We also recommended a cap with tighter mesh, since the old one had large openings. The family has not heard a scratch since.
Fireplace Smoke Odor Fix, Alpharetta City Center

This one came from a homeowner who said the fireplace only smoked when the wind blew from the northeast. The flue was partially blocked by a collapsed clay tile near the top, so wind pressure pushed smoke back into the room. We removed the broken tile, swept the full length, and checked the draw with a smoke test. The fireplace pulled cleanly afterward, even on windy afternoons.
Rusty Damper and Water Staining, Milton

A Milton homeowner noticed orange streaks inside the firebox after a week of heavy rain. The chase cover had rusted through, letting water drip onto the damper. We replaced the damper, treated the rust, and sealed the crown with a waterproof coating. The firebox is dry now, and the homeowner has a photo report showing exactly what was repaired and why it was needed.
Full System Sweep and Inspection, Downtown Alpharetta

A homeowner near downtown Alpharetta had not had the chimney swept in five years, and the smoke chamber was packed with soot and creosote dust. The sweep took about two hours, and we also cleaned the damper frame, the lintel, and the glass doors. We put down drop cloths, wore shoe covers, and took a photo of the hearth before we left. It looked like a different fireplace.
